Prof. Jung-Ho Yu (Team Leader)
After receiving his PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Seoul National University (Prof. Taeghwan Hyeon), Prof. Yu completed postdoctoral training in Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University (Prof. Yi Cui) and began his work in biomedical imaging and bioanalytical chemistry as a research scientist at the Stanford School of Medicine (Prof. Sanjiv Sam Gambhir).
Beyond research, Prof. Yu enjoys teaching chemistry courses, including CHEM 221: Multicomponent Analysis (Instrumental Analytical Chemistry), and CHEM 400/720: Chemical Spectroscopy for Biomedical Applications. He aims to show students how chemistry drives advances in medicine, biology, and engineering, and how these areas, in turn, lead to new discoveries in chemistry.
